GEICO Insurance Cultural Marxist Hypocrisy

Because he makes gun parts for a living this policy holder received a letter from GEICO cancelling his auto insurance. The letter says his auto insurance is being cancelled because he owns a company that manufactures parts for firearms:
“The reason for cancellation is your vehicle [...] does not meet our underwriting guidelines because it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry“
Can you get more affiliated with a company that deals with “the weapons industry” than the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, or Dept of Defense (DoD) ?

Some companies have social policy for one I tend to deal with companies even as an
investment that meet certain standards. If they don't I won't patronize them or buy the
shares in those companies.

I have to say that my 4 and a bit yrs spent in Canada was an eye opener re insurance companies. they suck! they are ripping you off and they are protected by the cops while they do it!
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident while in Ontario, guy went thru a red light, T boned me writting off my imaculate '79 F150, glanced off me and hit another vehicle, knocked over a traffic light and fled the scene. My insurance company decided it was a no fault accident. when I found out that the cops had found the guy I asked what he had been charged with and they said I would have to apply thru the freedom of infomation if I wanted to find out.......then they threatened to arrest me for swearing!!!!

Ontario has higher premiums because they have an extensive Accident Benefits program. If you compare that to auto insurance in the U.S., you have substantially less in medical coverage which is why they pay less in premiums.

The no fault aspect of insurance, charges for another driver on a police report and privacy laws have nothing to do with your premium.

Geico is the Government Employee Insurance Company, they insure army and navy families (not the army and navy themselves), and other government employees.

Insurance companies mitigate their risk wherever they can. It's not necessarily social engineering to say 'we've found your policy too risky to deal with'. And I'm willing to bet weapons manufacturing falls into that category.

I guess there is the occasional good thing about living in a socialist province. Our government owned insurance company won't even take bad drivers off the road. They just charge all of us higher premiums.

It depends on the nature of the services provided by the insurers.

For example, Ontario and Alberta still have private insurers, whereas Quebec, BC, Manitoba and Sask have public insurance.

Despite this, Quebec residents have lower premiums than Alberta residents and Ontario has higher premiums than Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Because anything that isn't completely right-wing libertarian ayn-randism is cultural Marxist hypocrisy.

I know what cultural Marxism is, but I'm not sure what cultural Marxist hypocrisy would be. Would it be applying Marxist theory to cultural institutions with the goal of perpetuating class structures and oppression? I'm not sure how capitalist insurance company mitigating risk qualifies as that.

Some insurance companies will not provide coverage dependent upon what type of dog you have.
