Assemblyman in jail, accused of threatening fellow lawmaker

A Democratic assemblyman is in jail, arrested for threatening Democratic Speaker-elect Marilyn Kirkpatrick, according to North Las Vegas Police and Democratic sources familiar with the situation.


Assemblyman Steven Brooks, 40, of North Las Vegas made threats to harm a public official Saturday afternoon, police said in a news release Sunday morning. A source said he was arrested with a loaded gun after threatening to shoot Kirkpatrick.

Well he will likely lose his present seat and get his a** kicked as well.
She made the right decision by the sound of it he should not have a
committee chairmanship at all behaving like that. See here is the problem
if this was a sexual incident he could be forgiven, Democrats are always
forgiven for those. he chose a law and order issue. Worse yet didn't he
understand Democrats are trying to bring in some kind of gun control?
Why not give him the prison reform committee he is already on location now

This is nothing. Have you ever seen the clips of video of the fist fights in some of the Asian governing body meetings. I saw last week of a man walking up to the Podium and pointing a handgun at the head of the Parliamentary Speaker. The act was stopped but when I see acts of this kind I think we are lucky. This doesn't excuse what this person did but the question needs to be asked. How do we fix Stupid? Maybe his constituents will answer that?
