Piers Morgan Interviews Michael Moore for 48 Minutes Without Asking About His Vile Anti-Romney Video

NewsBusters reported Monday that schlockumentarian Michael Moore created a tremendously vile anti-Romney campaign video for MoveOn.org that included seniors uttering vulgar threats at the Republican presidential nominee.

On Wednesday, CNN's Piers Morgan did a 48 minute interview with Moore without asking him one single question about this disgraceful video.

The Foxification Of CNN: New Management Pushes The Network Into Crazy Territory

Now presiding over CNN, Jautz has brought his brash and distinctively commercial style to the network that once aspired to be a model of journalistic integrity. He is employing the same sensationalist philosophy at CNN that brought him success at HLN, along with a decidedly conservative bent. In an interview he gave after his promotion was announced Jautz delivered a tribute to Fox News and a preview of what to expect from his tenure saying that he does not believe that "facts-only" programming will work. True to his word he has endeavored to give CNN a shiny Fox-like hue and assembled a team that shares his aversion to facts.

Consequently, if CNN is gaining nothing from reshaping their editorial slant to mirror Fox, the only conclusion is that they are deliberately making a hard right turn because that is the direction they want to go. But this path has only resulted in their dropping to third place behind Fox and MSNBC. If CNN ever hopes to regain some of the luster of their glory days, they will need to differentiate themselves from Fox. They might want to take a stab at journalism. That would be novel in these days of advocacy tabloidism.

Taking a stab at journalism would require finding non biased journalists and producers. Aside from the fact that is probably impossible to find where is the fun in that?

Bias is the reason I never watch network or cable news. I despise being told how to interpret current events, I think it's an arrogant way to present information. I take news from print sources, usually online, as opposed to television. At least I can quickly find multiple sources so if they are presented with too much of a slant/bias I can at least get a handle on the meat and potatoes of it that way.

Unbiased journalism is a thing of the past, if it ever even existed in the first place.

I watch PBS news if I want a take on what is happening in the States. I find it has a far more balanced approach to reporting on issues. I do agree that unbiased journalism for the most part is a thing of the past which is one reason why I never ever watch CBC news - I can thank Windy Muesli for that.

I should clarify that if it's breaking news I will flip around between predominantly Canadian channels (Global, CTV, CBC, Local). Sometimes American news channels or BBC as well, depending on what the news is.

And I will admit if there is something that is breaking news with periodic updates I will at times leave the channel on, gasp!, CBC Newsworld, Lol. Actually the only reason is that, unless they've changed it recently, CTV does not have the crawl and the bottom of the screen during all programs and commercials, I believe CBC newsworld does continue it. I just put the volume down/off.

But for 'regular' news, it's all print for me.

I have to confess that I also watch breaking news stories on CNN - yesterday I was almost glued to the set watching the latest reports on the damage of SS Sandy. Breaking news is one thing but to get the entire story, I am with you - print all the way. I get updates from the Globe, NY Times, Washington Post and Huff Post - that way I can cherry pick the stories I am interested in learning more about.

There's no such thing as breaking news. It's either legit or not and shouldn't be reported until the facts are establiushed...........

Back in Canada, I stuck to Global for my news. To me it was the least bias where CBC had a Liberal spin and CTV had a Conservative spin. Global tossed out the information, asked the obvious questions and they'd say this side says this, that side says that and move to the next report. They were quick, to the point, cut the BS opinions and toss the next report out & repeat.

In regards to the OP and how Moore wasn't asked about his video... #1... Who cares?

Cuz I like Obama more and wanted to make something I thought was funny.

There you go... All your questions answered, the mystery has been solved.

If anybody knew anything about Moore, you would already know why he made it. It's not a huge secret. He doesn't like Republicans and doesn't like Romney.
