Any candidate who seriously espouses the idea of terminating the US Foreign Aid (we view that as our excuse to stick out=r nose in other nation's affairs)and use those monies to help repayment of the nation's debt has captured my attention. I'm still asking why we send billions to nations that vote against us repeatedly in the UN while we have people staving on our streets. Then we send our troops out to be killed abroad. WHY?

The one good thing about the Paul campaign is that he has confirmed what I've been saying all along: foreign wars and interventionism is against true conservative principles. A true conservative/libertarian or whatever demands that we get the hell out of all foreign wars, reduce the military wastage, and use our resources to promote the common, not the corporate, welfare.

Ron is a loose cannon and his son is even worse. No he does not have a chance of
winning, when the final rounds of the primaries are done. If they are smart they will
go with Mit Romney and lose. Rick is not a broad enough based candidate to win and
neither is Newt.
Vice President Biden said it best, don't compare us to the Almighty, compare us to the
alternative. The last time the Republicans held office they set in motion the biggest and
I mean the biggest financial disaster since the Great Depression. W screwed the whole
nation up, and it will take five or six years just to get things sitting right again.
Most people look at the field and and understand none of these people are capable of
controlling the fringe group the Tea Party, which is still a minority in the GOP. If they
can't control this radical fringe group how can they pull the nation together? In short they
can't, and that is why no one can break through the pack and establish themselves as a
clear leader. By the time enough drop out, their rising forces will be off set by the
damage they are doing to each other.
Paul is not the main stream of the party, and he is a voice of the old confederacy not the
voice of a modern nation. The problem for these people is they dream of a simpler time in
the past the never existed. If we were to elect the Republicans under Paul or Rick
Sanchez we would see America return to a difficult time like the era of Charles Dickens.

Paul may have zero chance of winning but it's good that he is making a few good points, especially about war and foreign interventionism. Up to just a couple of years ago right wingers used to curse me out and accuse me of treason for saying what he's saying today. Now he is re-echoing what I've said before and he is viewed as a patriotic hero for speaking the truth - the truth that I've said all along.

Ron Paul is the most refreshing political candidate I have listened to in a long time. Straight forward, to the point, and some of his answers just cracked me up they were so apt.

One of the questions had to do with Cuba. Wolfe asked Ron what he would say if Castro phoned him (assuming Paul is President). Ron answered right back, "Well I would ask him what he called about." He went on to say that he would try and see if there were ways to improve the relations between the countries and expounded on the fact that Cuba poses no threat to the US. The other candidates slammed the door on Cuba except to say they would try and find a way to undermine the dictatorship ( though how was not mentioned and the CIA briefly entered my mind) by encouraging the people to overthrow their government and mount a Cuban Spring but stopping short of invasion.

When asked what he thought about the feud between Romney and the Newt over who has the most invested in Fannie and Freddie, Paul said that frankly it didn't interest him in the least as the real question was what to do about the company which in his view should be cut lose.

Though not doing all that well in the primaries, it appears that nation wide, Paul is polling a close second to Rick Santorum.

I found Mitt to be much better prepared tonight than in other debates but he still leaves me cold. I thought Rick Santorum did very well and stuck to answering questions without so much of the Obama- bashing of Mitt or Newt. The Newt lacked luster and seemed to be fumbling at times. The whole tirade about finances was stupid and pointless when better things should have been discussed, I was 100% will Paul on that.

I agree with you about Ron Paul, even thought he may still run on the Independent ticket it would be a wasted vote. Newt or Mitt have somewhat of a chance to beat Obama, but if I had to predict I would say Mitt Romney can do. (more appealing to voters on a national level)

Regardless of who's actually the best candidate, Romney is the only chance for a Republican win.

Anyone else will be sent to die.

I have to say that Mitt did well in the debate last night especially in his reply to the Newt about Fannie and Freddie.

For the life of me I can't understand this idea of a moon colony that the Newt keeps bringing up as if spending the possible trillions of dollars needed to accomplish it would help the US economy. I actually laughed when he mentioned that the 'colonists' could become another 'state' while he was against Puerto Rico doing the same. Loved what Paul said about sending some politicians up there.

I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says.
But it all comes down to, Who is the people's champion.
Who will safeguard the people from being scammed.

He would be by far the best president for the people.
All the others will only be great for corporatism.

That's all it comes down to.
A vote for Ron is a vote for the people.
The rest are there for themselves.

Why would you support anyone else?

What have you got against anarchists? Does having to take personal responsibility scare you? The anarchy political system suits me fine. Our present system is too corrupt, concentrating too much power at the federal level. If the highest level of government was the local community, there wouldn't be much room for the kind of corruption we see now. Corporate interests would not be able to run rough shod over those of the people. Provincial governments would only have the mandate to deal with inter provincial trade and the feds would only be allowed to deal with international trade.

He probably was the most electable candidate, today no Republican so far will beat President Obama, it is almost a done deal.
