If Republican voters keep this up, it will be a show down between Cain or Gingrich and Obama.

If they want to keep Mitt Romney down in favour of these two blunders, that's fine by me, lol

Exactly. And anyone of them will do better for America because none of the GOP candidates want to willing destroy their country like the Muslim-in-Chief.

All of us should know that personal insults are not allowed.............though that doesn't seem to stop the continuous outpouring of nastiness. TPs comment is almost flattery compared to some of the malicious comments posted on the forum. Just saying.

It really looks like the Republicans are stuck. Candidate after candidate has been trotted out, but the only one who seems to have a snowball's chance in Hell is Mitt Romney. Unfortunately for the Republican right wing Romney is not much to the left of Obama on many of his policies and unfortunately for Republican hopes in general Romney subscribes to a religion many Americans think of as a cult.

Now some Republicans are starting to think, only starting. This is one idea..

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Some conservatives don't believe in Newt-mentum.
Popular right-wing talk-radio host Michael Savage has offered Newt Gingrich $1 million to drop out of the race for the GOP nomination because he doesn't believe the former Speaker of the House can beat President Barack Obama.
"While it's true that (Mitt) Romney is not a strong a conservative as many would like him to be, the most pressing issue before America today is defeating Barack Obama. And that is something Newt Gingrich cannot do," the nationally syndicated Savage said on his blog.
And why is that?
Savage has a long list on his blog, including Gingrich's ads with Nancy Pelosi, his past infidelity and the fact that -- no matter his intelligence -- when he appears on TV "he will come off badly compared to Obama and look like nothing more than what he is: a fat, old, white man."
Ouch.
So, after a lengthy diatribe in all caps, Savage offered Gingrich $1 million to "set his ego aside" and "take the money ... and don't run."
Savage said he will reveal further details soon.

I thought people had got there fill of Newt when his 'Contract on America' became exposed as agenda enabling Corporate Greed, regressive taxation, deregulation, free markets.. all of which finally led directly to the economic collapse of 2008.

His leadership style was so abrasive and incompetent that he was kicked out the Speaker's chair by his own party in 1998. He sputters about some half baked 'economic' revolution... that essentially follows the now discredited policies of libertarianism, Reaganonics.. whatever you want to call it.. trying to give it a intellectual pretense.. presumably to let the American know they aren't smart enough to understand it and should just trust him.

The only question is whether the American voter is smart enough to figure out they're being scammed. I personally have never seen any consistent signs of intelligent life in the American electorate.. but i'm willing to be surprised. At this point it seems President Newt seems inevitable.

We certainly don't want Newt to get the nomination. He's willing to compromise his principles for money and he's been guilty of infidelity. The last we need is to defend scandals either because of shady back room deals or because of sexual shenanigans. All the candidates have their pros and cons, but something to consider would be electing someone who won't get caught with their pants down:

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that NO Republican candidate will be able to defeat Obama in 2012. I base that on the encroaching realization that the U.S., in fact the entire West, in entering a Depression. At some point, even the American public will clue into the fact that this is a direct result of Free Market (Free Trade, Monetarism, Deregulation, Privatization) that have controlled the global economy since the early 1970s.

It's true that Obama has not had either the courage, sense or political will to do anything but tow the Global oligarch's line, but he is the LEAST wedded to it as political philosophy than any Republican. Every Republican candidate is a RADICAL global free market libertarian and 'small government' conservative.

I think he will be re-elected, simply because he is a known quantity, presumably more flexible than his opposition, less beholden to political pressures in a second term. Like the Great Depression, the electorate will be looking for a progressive economic dirigiste as Chief Executive.

The only problem is Obama is NO Franklin Roosevelt.. or certainly has not proven himself anything like that in his first term.. which has been inept, inconsistent, and led by events. That will have to turn around completely if he's going to be up to the challenge of a series of economic shocks that we are already seeing on the horizon.

Obama is still a unknown quantity, we really no nothing about him other than his political history.
Who is Barack Obama, what is his history other than what was manufactured for him. How come he has no old school friends who knew him back when? It is as if he himself was manufactured. Like him or dislike him, who is he?

Now back to Forum:

GOP presidential frontrunner Newt Gingrich stirred up plenty of controversy last week when he called Palestinians an "invented people" in an interview from the campaign trail.
"I think we have an invented Palestinian people who are in fact Arabs and historically part of the Arab community and they had the chance to go many places,' Gingrich -- last week.
All of which makes the above 1993 photo of Gingrich, then House Minority Whip, embracing the late Palestinian Liberation Organization chief Yasser Arafat, --, rather noteworthy. Stein, who received the photo from a longtime political operative involved in Middle East issues, --:

I've made the prediction that the Muslim-in-chief will steal the election, but I really, really, hope you're right!

Newt speaks out of five corners of his mouth at the same time. The problem is 1) he only has 2 corners and 2) All he ever does in contradict himself. He is a "Has been" and still refuses to see that fact.

The fact you keep saying "Muslim-in-chief" just proves that you're not worth listening to for anything, much less be qualified to predict the outcome of an election. You're just like the other idiots who keep going on about his birth certificate; get over it, the man could be voted out next year and then you'll have what you deserve but for Gawd's sake, give it a rest already.
