Smart as hell and unapologetic.

Watch him school the smirking CBS news jockey/moderator on war and terrorists.

For the record, Scotty attended journalism school at Texas Tech.

Newt on the other hand, has a B.A. in history from Emory University, a Masters and Ph.D. in modern European history from Tulane, and has authored 25 books including seven on war.

Relevant portion begins at 5:51 but feel free to watch the whole highlight reel. ;-)

You like amphibians.

And here I thought we had finally done away with isms, phobes and ites.

You're amphibiphobia is showing sir.

What you have is called 'Batrachophobia'.

A latent yearning for Bacharach, baccarat and Broadway musicals.

Your symptoms may include:

* A Dry Mouth
* Heart Palpitations
* Numbness
* Heightened Senses
* Breathlessness
* Feeling Dizzy
* Muscle Tension
* Hyperventilation
* Trembling
* Rapid Heartbeat
* Feeling Out of Control
* Feeling Trapped and Unable to Escape
* Intense Feeling of Impending Disaster

How Is Batrachophobia Treated?

Dr. Locutus recommends immersing yourself in a nice hot bath, light some scented candles and listen Burt as he was meant to be heard. Through the voice of others. If that doesn't work honey, seek professional help. Amphibians were here before us and are just plain cool daddio.

Now Sarah Palin does look respectful dysfunctional as she is. Newt is the worst
of a bad lot. Look at the past to see the future. Newt stepped down for having
same sexual experience as Bill Clinton. He was House Speaker but he kept as
quiet as he could about that whole affair.
Newt was involved in the Christian Coalition and hammered away everyday at the
leftists and so on. Newt faded into obscurity and we thought he crawled back
under the rock from which he came. He has risen again like some modern day
Saviour. Oops misspoke a bit.
Newt is now of all things reincarnated as a Catholic for this round of electioneering.
And someone wants the general public to take this man seriously, What has the
Republican Party stooped too. The only way Obama can lose is, if the American
people are dumber than the Republican Party. I am afraid of the last statement.

Ron Paul has a snowball's chance in hell of becoming President, if that.

Anywho, with the so-called moderators/hosts playing favorites it's tougher to get face time. That's the 'system' for ya.

Ron Paul Gets 89 Seconds To Speak In CBS Debate

Leaked email to Bachmann campaign indicates decision to limit air time for certain candidates was deliberate CBS News policy

Congressman Ron Paul was a victim of what later transpired to be a deliberate policy on behalf of CBS News to restrict the air time of certain candidates during last night’s Republican debate, after he was afforded just 90 seconds of speaking time during the course of the event in South Carolina last night.

Paul’s campaign reacted furiously to the Texan being limited to 90 seconds in what was a 90 minute-long debate, with Campaign Manager John Tate blasting out an email entitled “What a Joke,” in which he stated, “It literally made me sick watching the mainstream media once again silence the one sane voice in this election. The one dissenter to a decade of unchecked war. The one candidate who stands for true defense and actual constitutional government. Ron Paul was silenced, in perhaps the most important debate of the cycle.”

A scientific study undertaken by the University of Minnesota last month confirmed that Ron Paul had been given the least speaking time out of all the Republican candidates during the debates, even less than the likes of John Huntsman and Rick Santorum, who have routinely been beaten by Paul in national polls.

Ron Paul is going nowhere in this or any other campaign. Newt does not have a prayer
he will be lucky to get his own vote for heaven sake. The problem is the serious and
deserving candidates will not get their voice heard either. The reason is the Republicans
jumped on the unstable stage of the Tea Party and most if not all have lost their
credibility. Had the Republicans avoided the temptation to grasp a straws the outcome
of the next election might be different. Newt is a political chameleon and he has not
traction with the mainstream voters, he does not have the support of the religious groups
and the rest are looking for leadership and in the Republicans the only hope the had
was Cain and he is all but done as well. With a lineup like the Republicans have God
help us.

Newt is the man - Newt is more closely related to frogs. The right wingers hated the frogs that we had as Prime Ministers.

Newt Gingrich would also decisively lose a Presidential general election against Barack Obama.

It looks like the repubs are digging around at the bottom of the waste basket for someone to throw at Obama, but I think they are doing everything they can to lose the next election. They will wait until there is a surplus budget so they can blow it again. They never have and never will know how to create a surplus, only a deficit. It is a game the ruling class play with the electorate to make them think they actually have a choice. They don't.

As much as I support some of Ron Paul's social libertarian endeavours, it's actually wrong to paint that social "philosophy" for Obama or Ron. Especially when Ron wants to FORCE banks to compete. A truly free market means no intervention (good or bad) and there's nothing voluntary about shaping an industry.

Newt is more highly educated and far more intelligent than the Bamster and Newt is also the last speaker of the house to pass a balanced budget. Bear in mind it is the congress, not the president, who controls the purse strings.

Any of the current contenders on the republican side is far more experienced and qualified than the Bamster. Like Limbaugh says, "It must really grate on the Bamster's nerves that no matter where he goes he is always the least qualified person in the room."

And as for the rest of the "contenders".. well.. uh... uhmm... what's that word again?... uhh... umm... ... uuuuummmm... circus?

Newt is a waste of space, he is the biggest loser since Richard Nixon. Obama could
stay home and beat him. The problem for the Republicans, is the Tea Party and the
fuzzy right, not the fiscal right. Tea Party agitation sparked the frustrations of the
electorate, but since they went and voted angry they have sobered up and now the
promise of the Tea Party is turning into a nightmare for the Republicans. When
reason comes to the fore the Tea Party becomes a millstone around the neck of those
who saddled up to ride with them Looking as the Occupy Movement, the difference
is, well quite different for a couple of reasons. Its time for them to pack up their tents
and move to the next stage, its just there is no central organization as to what the
next step is. The people always in the long run sympathize with groups attacked by
police, not in the beginning bu later. Look at the classic battles with demonstrators in
the dirty thirties, at the time the people supported the law, but as time passed they did
in fact support the demonstrators.
The Tea Party voiced a negative message that translated into we hate Obama instead
of we oppose Obama and that is the mental picture we are left with right or wrong.
Occupy Wall Street, left the message it is the hippie movement on a new cause. To a
more or lesser degree we all identify with the hippie movement event if it is only out of
some romanticism of the sixties. Occupy will be forgiven, the Tea Party will not.
Republicans endorsed them and let them into the party as part of the conservative
movement. I think Newt is an example of the right that didn't understand the longer vision
of human behaviour. For that alone he deserves not to win.
Republicans actually look more like the traditional Democrats, they are unorganized and
undisciplined and when that happen they lose. It is actually quite striking how organized
and calm the Democratic Party is at the moment.
