I don't know if many of you have watched this but it is worth seeing so I will give it this one bump. The guy is an amateur radio buff and he is a real artist as well as a craftsman. The video is about fifteen minutes.

Never really thought of the vacuum tube as art. In watching the vid, there sure is a craft to it. Good to know there's a source out there - considering I'm running an old YBA 1-a and never blown a tube since the thing followed me home from Long & Mcquaid's when it was on Yonge at Davenport. 1972 according to the serials....

Given enough time, and all this guy's tools, I might be able to make a vacuum tube triode but I would likely be up to my knees in broken glass and discarded metal bits by the time I did.
