I'm not a big-dick tech guy and I hate it when something just starts happening on my machine that annoys me.

I don't recall what or when it happened but in the past week I found that CC pages were a bitch to load at times.

The cpu fans would go nuts, pages would shudder and burp and slow to a crawl.

'Oh my gawd, I finally got a porn virus' I thought. Thankfully no.

I thought it had something to do with a recent AVG Free update that went down. AVG has got a little more crappy with it's 2012 'summer update' nonsense and so I disabled the tracking features and some other junk thinking it might be that.

Nope. So poked around online and it seems if you change FF themes, that can (for whatever the reason, as I say, small-dick tech) fix things up. I disabled FF 12 default theme and just chucked on any old one (in this case qute classic 4.01...yes, qute...now shut up) and she works fine.

Any thoughts on this stuff you bigger tech dick guys and gals?

Northern Ontario,
I had a similar problem with Adobe Flash... I would play videos on certain web sites but not others, after the latest update, it wouldn't play the videos on one news source I visit.
The same update worked fine on my wife's notebook and another PC in the house. My preference is to receive update notice and update manually...
I first tried uninstall and reinstall, then reinstall a different version, and still, no luck.
For a week I tried to live with it, but couldn't...I just can't leave a problem unattended...

I then figured Adobe could be like Norton, Windows uninstall, leaves things behind.
I googled....And Adobe has an uninstal program.....I ran it...ran CCleaner on the registry to make sure there were no Adobe registry keys left behind (Adobe removal had removed everything)

Reinstaled Adobe flash ...and everything works:smile:
