The more than able rink of Amber Holland from Saskatchewan did what no other team from the province has managed to do since 1997 and that is win the Scotties Tournament of Hearts thus dethroning the former Team Canada rink of Jennifer Jones. Sask was superb during the tournery winning everyone of their games including the final. Amber Holland has a fabulous team of young curlers who stood up well to the challenge presented by the more seasoned Jones' rink.
It all came down to the final rock in the 10th end of play which was thrown by Jennifer Jones. Jones needed to take out Holland's steal point on the pin without losing her own. She came very close to doing so but in the end Holland's rock stuck and took the end and the game. Congratulations to our new Team Canada and thanks for a wonderful tourney and a spectacular win.
