Despite England just having what statistics show was their worst ever World Cup, the morale in the team at a low, half the players missing through injury and a manager fighting to stay in his job, the FA still thought it was a good time to launch yet another new England home kit.
England's last home kit was released only near the beginning of last year, and England played in it during their worst ever performance at the World Cup, but this week yet another has been unveiled.
The almost plain white shirt is very similar to the last one except that now it has an open neckline rather than a collar. Like the last one, which was completely plain white, it lacks any stripes or other patterns which many England kits have had in the past except that it has very tiny Crosses of St George on each shoulder which are in four different colours - red (the traditional colour of the Cross of St George), blue and green (colours which are present in England's Three Lions crest) and purple (a blend of all the three previous colours to symbolise something so important in modern day PC England - "diversity").
England's last home kit had white shorts - the first time they had played in all white - but now England are turning back to tradition by having blue shorts as part of the new kit.
The new kit - designed by English art director Peter Saville, who is famous for designing album covers for bands such as Joy Division and New Order - will be worn by the team for the first time on Friday when they take on Bulgaria at Wembley in their first Euro2012 qualifier.
Still, it's quite a trendy-looking kit.

Certainly the big wigs at the FA believe so and have unveiled the new blue and white ensemble just in time for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland.
The kit will cost £49.99 and comes just six months after the new red kit England wore so unsuccessfully in South Africa was launched.
The newest design has been praised by England goalkeeper Joe Hart as 'the best fitting England kit yet', but the fans are not so sure.
Mark Perryman, of the England Supporters' Club said: 'The timing does seem to be bad and the attitude towards the team and manager seems at an all-time low.
'It is expensive and it would have made more sense to delay the launch for when the team are not the nation's villains.'

However, the FA are hoping sales of the new kit will remains strong as funds raised will be reinvested across a variety of different areas.
It will provide support to all 23 Club England teams, the National Football Centre in Burton and investment in 3,000 County FA courses every year which train 60,000 players, referees and coaches annually.
