hockey, baseball, golf, football, pool/billiards, soccer,
swimming, short track speed skating, skiing, snowboarding,
and the one I do very well is 'walk', and hike.

I'm pretty conventional. Knothead with some Westerner tossed in.
Love my hockey (edit: especially the World Juniors each Christmas/New years... best hockey there is) and football (CFL and NFL, not really into college ball but will watch if I'm bored). Like my curling, especially when Alberta is knocking around someone like Russ Howard. When the Olympics come around I watch the stuff out at the ski hills thats timed (don't like any of the judged sports, really). Off the tube I like my outdoors stuff: hiking, skiiing, fishing. Used to hunt but while I love the taste of wild game, I'm a sucky shot and I prefer to pack a camera instead of a rifle.

It's funny what some people call "sports" lol Billiards? Poker? Hiking? lol

My first job during the summers while in high school and after high school on a full time basis....
....was teaching many sports in community centers. It's great to have more time
than schools ever do unless they are working with a school team for competition...
but regular kids do well once they "get it" and often the schools don't have time to find out what kid does what well.....
I can't participate in many sports now - or my time is limited because of a lung problem, but I'm still an avid fan and prefer live events, but am grateful for the television coverage especially on weekends in places I will never see....and athletes
I will never be able to cheer for in person.
I wish humans could settle things with competitive sports....

He has a point, though poker more gambling to me than a sport.

ever been on a 'real' hike Anna? Usually takes all day,
and consists of at least 20 miles or more.
Some do it 'all' the time, it is a sport, puts one in
top condition.

It's a game. Not all games are sports and not all sports are games. They also put news on sports channels, is news a sport, too? Is checkers a sport? Tiddlywinks? Hopscotch? Monopoly? Gomoku?
