That's amazing. You never know when the big guy's gonna call.

You're right. My husband was struck down in a big way 18 years ago, he pulled through,
but part of his heart was damaged. Now, he has to have a valve replacement, which
will be fine, had a big appointment at royal jubilee the other day, plans are in the
making, and it will happen sometime in september.

I think men in their 40'/50's should keep up to date on, how their hearts are behaving, and watch their weight, and what they eat. Very important. I could have been a widow
a long time ago, but we lucked out.

Actually that advice goes for 'everyone', but it seems, if men are going to have trouble with their hearts, 40's and 50's are typical times.

Yeah, that's a little scary, he was younger than I am, and probably in better shape. Anyone remember what a standout game he had in the '76 Grey Cup? In a losing cause, alas, because somebody missed his last assignment against Ottawa's Tony Gabriel, who got away for a long completion and the game winning touchdown. That still rankles with Saskatchewan fans, the Riders should have won that one; mention "The Catch" to any true Rider fans and their faces will get spotty and their blood pressure will rise. But they'll also remember what a superlative athlete Leif Petterson was. That's way too young to die. My sympathies to all who loved him.

They were talking about him on the radio today, and mentioned that game you talked about, said they were ready to name him player of the game, till that last play. They
talked about how good he really was, and what a great guy he was, and on TV they showed a clip of him singing, excellent voice, and a perfect looking guy, very sad, he seemed to have it all.
