Vancouver beat Toronto in soccer today. Yay. A good game until I replayed it. Vancouver played a mediocre game. They were somewhat lucky to win. Van kicked many long balls way ahead and the TO defence picked them off and returned to the offence and worked the ball up to the goal and got more chances. And when Van got close they made poor passes into the middle.
Soccer does not show enough replays of close calls. Instead they too often show the player running back to defence. This is dull.
I don't understand soccer reffing. The offsides are wrong half the time, and the ref gives out way too few yellow cards. Players hack each other knowing a yellow card is rare and this stifles the offence. Yellow cards must be given out early and often to encourage more goals and action.
Yet Vancouver got goal from a foul in the penalty box today. I think reffing in soccer is the worst in the sports world.
