Back to hockey....................Nonis has been on the hot seat for a few weeks now. Everything was brought to a head when the Canucks missed the play-offs. The guy has looked worried for a while and he seemed to be second guessing his coach. I'm sure Nonis will find a spot somewhere....................The NHL is a big game of musical chairs so he'll show up in one capacity or other on one of the other teams.

Yup, the annual rearranging of deck chairs is officially on.

LOL... okay, juan actually had mature conversation to add on the topic of hockey, so, I won't follow this line of thinking any further, lest I have to toss the whole thing in WB. lol.

The above is pretty insightful. Maybe Dave Hodge can get us on TSN.

I wonder what the other people in the organization are wondering right now.
Others might be waiting for the axe to fall.

I can't see them hiring tambalini, as he and nonis worked together, so they were
on the same page, what would be the change!!! Maybe on an interim basis.

Lots of talk on 1040 tonight about Pat Quinn coming back, and also Brian Burke, it is
amazing to me, how many people want to go back in time, don't they know, you can't
go home again', you have to move forward, but I wonder who is out there, who is
general manager material.

As long as it isn't John Ferguson Jr., that would be suicide.

How about Stan Smyl. I'd actually like to see the Steamer get a chance behind the bench. Trevor Linden could be his assistant GM or assistant coach.

Canucks will have news conference at 11:00 for anyone who's interested,on team 1040

Stan Smyl had lots of time in Manitoba, as head coach, but when the time came for an upgrade to
the canucks they didn't want him, he is in scouting right now, or maybe he didn't want
the job.

I would like to see someone from the outside, who is very experience and has had success, like Ken Holland in detroit, but they can't talk to him till detroit is finished.
Maybe tambolini will be interim gen. mgr. till after playoffs are done, then maybe they
will get serious about someone else, before the june draft.
They are training Steve Eizerman in detroit, so maybe he will become general manage
there, that would free up Ken Holland.
The next person who mentions John Ferguson Jr. on the radio is 'going to the moon'.
I could do a better job than him.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Messier in either role, coach or gm. I get sick of seeing the same old deck chairs moved around. Those Murray brothers are like wack-a-moles, they've never won anything but they find a way to get hired somewhere. I like fresh blood, particularly someone with a history of winning.

John Ferguson road his father's coattails. He's in the wrong line of work.

Scottie Bowman still around? Pat Quinn? I prefer the head coach and gm to be one job. That way one can't blame the other.
