Canucks 6 Predators 2
Were the Canucks good or were the Predators bad? On a positive note the Canucks got goals from six different players which is a hell of a lot better than depending on the twins and Naslund like they've been doing all year I'll need another few more games like this one to be convinced that they've turned things around

It's funny that you mention 'Were the canucks that good or were the predators that bad, cause I just
finished sending a post into the canucks board, saying. "Everyone is praising the canucks
today for the great win, and I agree, it was a great win, but no one, 'no one', mentioned
how bad nashville played, they looked like canucks did against avalanche, and I know that
nashville are a much better team than they showed last night, so we'll see how they play
against calgary tonight.
The sedins had free range, no one hit them, and actually till near the end of the game no one on nashville hit anyone, so that makes it a completely different game, than the playoff
type games we have been in recently.
Naslund was horrible.
Your right, Pettinger looked good last night, maybe he is getting comfortable on the team now, he is a great skater,
and if he can become a little creative and drive for the net more, he will be a valuable addition. He's much better
that Cooke, for sure, I've allready forgotton about him, didn't miss him for a minute.
Hopefully canucks can keep it going, but I'm not convinced from 'one' game, I want to see them play that way against a good team who are playing their 'best'.

The Canucks got another win in a game against St. Louis. This win was not nearly as one-sided as the previous game with the Predators. The Canucks desperately need some healthy, skilled defensemen.because it is affecting the rest of the team's game.

Vancouver has won has won three straight and six of its last eight to tie Calgary for sixth in the Western Conference. They are one point behind Minnesota for the lead in the northwest division. The goal that Piet scored with Shannon last night will be on a lot of highlight reels. Have they turned the corner? The Canucks are better than a lot of teams right now, the proof will be in the playoffs.

If we beat Minnesota tonight we will be in first in the n. west div., but then if Minnesota
beat Calgary tomorrow night, they will back in first, so every game is so important, but
Canucks are playing pretty solid right, just a shame that Mason Raymond is injured, although Shannon played well last, night so they didn't miss a step, Morrison still looks very rusty,hope he begins to get into game shape soon, I thought Naslund had poor game
last night, he plays well some nights and horrible on other nights. Luongo was great
last night, Edmonton were obviously frustrated after first period, as he closed the door
on them many times, when they played well, then Canucks took over for the next two
periods, and Linden's short handed goal sealed the deal.

Canucks looking pretty lame last couple of games, although they played fine in Minnesota
resulting in a loss, but looked awful in period 2 and 3 in Calgary, and tonight, they looked
good at times, but just aren't good enough, and Luongo didn't look sharp tonight either.
And I would give Colorado high marks tonight, along with Forsberg, who played his best
game since coming back, Avalanche was very sharp and came to win. I think they, at this
time look like the strongest team in our division.
Calgary are playing well, but after you get past Iginla and Kiprisoff, there is a big drop to the next stars, just look at the stats. So, if Iginla doesn't show up, they won't win.
Lots of good offence on the avalanche, and if Forsberg doesn't get injured again, there
are two real good lines that can score, defence is pretty good, and Adam foote will be back soon, and Theodore is playing very well, and has been very consistant, and they
have one of the best coaches in the league.
If Edmonton can squeeze into playoffs they can also do some damage, although their
number one goalie is injured right now.
I love the canucks, but really don't want them in the playoffs unless they play much
better than they have, very inconsistant, and sedins can't play in any rough games,
they look great when no one body checks them, but that doesn't work in playoffs.
Maybe next year they can be a second line again, that's where they belong.

The Canucks rarely won a battle for the puck on the boards. The Canucks were out-skated, out-scored, and out-hit. Against Calgary the other night, they blew another lead. I think if by some chance the Canucks make the playoffs, they won't last more than four or five games.

colorado are a much more talented team, and canucks have no business beating them, if
they do, it's probably Luongo that will do it for them, and he didn't play well last night
either.
In my opinion the canucks only need 'two' top forwards to put with Mason Raymond next year,
move the twins to the second line, with somebody, and we will have a pretty deep team, excellent goalkeeping,
good defence, and some scoring punch, they aren't far away, don't need to blow the team up, and our 3rd and
fourth lines are fine too, justa bit ofjuggling around. Morrison is finished for the year, and probably gone from
the canucks, naslund probably gone too, and a couple of the bottom line players.
Without those two top scoring forwards we can't score goals, as simple as that, then we can't compete, unless we
expect luongo to hold us in every game, and he can't do that either, that's too much for any goalkeeper.
Nonis will do somelthing in the offseason, I'm sure. He has the money now, with all the free agents leaving the
team, (not like last summer, he had no money).
I don't think Canucks, calgary or Minnesota will last more than one round, unless
of course they are playing each other. Detroit, San Jose, anaheim, Colorado are
all much stronger than us, but depends who plays who I guess, and here comes Nashville, they
want into the playoffs too, and they just might get there.

The Canucks have three games left. If they could win them all, they will be in the play-offs. They have to play Colorado and Minnesota again so it could depend on what the other teams do. If they lose these three games, they will likely be playing golf earlier than most.

Yeah that's right, but they did have fun last night. I turned the game on after about a
minute and a half of play and it was 1-0 calgary, I thought that was the end for us, but
calgary, (as we do often) took many stupid penalties, and we hung in there and took
over.
Calgary have the same problems we do, they can't score, and after iginla, there isn't much
in the way of goal scorers at all, and last night iginla was put off his game by our sh*t disturbers, so, good for them.
Tomorrow we play colorado, going to be a tough one, don't think we can beat them, but
forsberg has the 'groin' thing again, don't know if he will be playing or not.

One thing in the Canuck's favour might be that teams that have made the play-offs might be inclined to rest their big guns in these final games.
Re last night; I thought the Canucks played with some heart in that game against Calgary. They got a couple goals from Linden and a pretty one from Pettinger, who is looking better every game.

The Canucks are in the same position the Leafs were in a few nights ago, good luck with that!
How many years does Naslund have left on his contract? His skills seem to have deteriorated quite a bit this year.

Vancouver is one of those teams that is about four good players short of being a good team. If everyone plays well, they look pretty good...Like last night.. Problem is, that if everyone doesn't play at their best, we blow a two goal lead and lose by three goals......Like we did a couple nights ago.
Naslund is still a good player but I think he's getting burned out from carrying the team around on his back. If we had a few other good scorers, it would take a lot of weight off Naslund.
