SOME might say showbiz is a load of balls.

It is – if the number of superstar football fans is anything to go by.

Earlier this week The Sun featured Tom Hanks, 51, snapped with an Aston Villa scarf.

And a host of Hollywood’s beautiful people like nothing better than watching British teams play the beautiful game.

Yanks including Brad Pitt, Elijah Wood and Sylvester Stallone have shown their devotion to UK footy squads.

Here’s a round-up of the celebs who get a kick out of British soccer – it’s Hollywood United.

BRAD PITT

The Hollywood hunk is a well-known Manchester United fan.

When the Red Devils win Brad, 44, must be in Seventh Heaven.

ELIJAH WOOD

The vertically-challenged actor is a devoted fan of East London team West Ham United.

Elijah, 26, loves it when the lads run rings around the opposition

Liotta is a fan of North London giants Tottenham Hotspur

RAY LIOTTA

He’s best-known for his role in Goodfellas.

But Ray, 53, is cherished at White Hart Lane as one of few high-profile Spurs supporters.

MEAT LOAF

OK, so this 60-year-old doesn’t exactly have a footballer’s build.

But when the powerful singer's watching Hartlepool United he can rival the loudest in the crowd - and once even tried to buy a house near the ground.

DANIEL DAY-LEWIS

In Gangs Of New York the Hollywood hunk played a rough n' ready gang member.

So it’s little wonder Daniel, 50, enjoys supporting the tough East London club, Millwall.

MICHAEL JACKSON

The King of Pop graced the Grecians with his presence back in 2002.

Wacko, 49, went to the Exeter City game with his pal Uri Geller, and afterwards they Beat It.

Glory Hunter: Timberlake is a fan of English Champions Manchester United

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

When Justin, 26, watches footy, he’s lovin’ champions Manchester United.

Perhaps the former squeeze of Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz relates to the lads’ complicated love lives.

Sylvester Stallone regularly goes to Liverpool to watch his favourite team Everton

SYLVESTER STALLONE

Rocky made him a megastar in the 80s – and when he turns up to support Liverpool team Everton, Sly, 61, relives those glory days.

Last year, he even took to the pitch at Goodison Park to greet the Toffees fans.
