Now, for a whole year we did not have hockey. Unless you count the minor league teams who sometimes were more exciting than the pros. However, I thought one of the reasons why the lockout took place was to keep all the teams together, and to have the smaller market teams be as competitive as the big-market teams.

However,

Western Conference
1. * Detroit 38 55
2. * Los Angeles 41 52
3. * Calgary 38 48
4. Nashville 36 51
5. Dallas 37 49
6. Edmonton 39 48
7. Vancouver 38 47
8. Phoenix 39 42
9. Colorado 39 41
10. Anaheim 38 40
11. Minnesota 39 40
12. San Jose 37 37
13. Chicago 37 30
14. Columbus 39 25
15. St. Louis 36 23

Most of the names on there except for phoenix and Nashville are usual shoe ins for the playoffs.

Eastern Conference
1. * Ottawa 36 57
2. * Philadelphia 38 54
3. * Carolina 38 52
4. Buffalo 39 54
5. NY Rangers 39 49
6. Toronto 39 47
7. Montreal 37 42
8. Tampa Bay 39 41
9. Atlanta 39 38
10. New Jersey 39 37
11. NY Islanders 37 36
12. Florida 40 35
13. Boston 38 34
14. Washington 36 29
15. Pittsburgh 37 28

Regular names again, there are no small market teams or teams that in like once every decade get into the playoffs again resulting in the same playoffs with the same teams again, and a team being crowned champion in like 4 out of 8 years. Boring!

And besides reports are even with new system, Pittsburg is going to move, the owners are a bunch of leaches, along with the players.

However, if you are following hockey which team do you think will win it all?
