Even the most casual sports fan knows who the
Raptors are, right?
Well, this week the Final
Jeopardy question dealt with a sports mascot that should be near and dear to every Torontonian’s heart.
Here was the clue: “The animal on this NBA team’s primary logo peaked about 75 million years ago.”
Note the last part of the hint – seventy-five-million-years-ago!
Third place Nora jumped into first with her correct answer.
But then Alex Trebek moved on to Amy, who wagered it all and guessed, “Timberwolf.”
“Fifteen minutes ago, Amy, I wondered if you’d even be alive in Final Jeopardy and you’re here with $17,000,” Trebek said. “But unfortunately you didn’t come up with the right response. So it will cost you. How much? Everything, dropping you down to zero."
Trebek even dropped a "boo, hiss” on her at the end.
Amy wagered it all on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jeopardy! this week.
