2015 Pinty's All-Star Skins Curling Game

Team Homan defeated Team Jones today taking home a $52,000 check for their efforts. Jennifer had her struggles but it was the final rock of the final skin that won it all for Team Homan and it was a team effort all the way. Rachel earlier defeated the Alberta rink of Team Sweeting for the first time this season - in doing so she advanced to the final to await the winner of Team Carey vs Team Jones. It was a squeaker but Jennifer came out the winner in that match.

The final of the Men's Skins goes tonight on TSN. Team Jacobs will play Team Morris. Both teams are getting off to a bit of a slow start this year but really improved their records during the Continental Cup. Brad's team earlier met and beat Team McEwen - uncharacteristic loss for Mighty Mike who has been on a role this season and sits atop the men's money standings. John Morris earlier beat out Kevin Koe's rink.

It took 3 carry-overs with the purse rising each end but Team Jacobs came through in the 7th to take that end which was worth $43,000 leaving $13,000 on the table for the 8th and final end. Team Morris needed 2 points for the end but Jacobs held him to a single forcing a draw for all the moola. John Morris came up just a bit heavy but Brad was money landing right on the pin.

Great game by both teams. Rock on Team Jacobs.........my favorite Rock Stars.

Skins are fun to watch, Kreskin - totally different than regular curling matches as it matters not how many rocks a team has in the house only the ones that are closest to the pin count which makes for some interesting strategies, fabulous take-outs and incredible draws.
