Christine Dufour-Lapointe is getting used to sharing the podium with a sibling. In a World Cup Mogul event held at Inawashiro, Japan, Christine took Gold while her older sister Maxine took the Bronze.

Eric Guay didn't let finishing just off the podium in Sochi slow him down in Kvitfjell, Norway where he took Gold in the Men's Downhill event.

And in curling news, the 2014 Tim Horton's Brier is set to get underway this afternoon in Kamloops, BC where the best of Canada's curlers will compete in the 11th Men's Curling Championship. TSN is carrying the Brier and the first draw gets underway at 1:30 PM PST.

I was watching UCI Indoor Track championships from Colombia and a few Canadians excelled in that as well. Seems there's no sport that Canadians cannot excel in.

Kelsey Rocque, skip of our Junior Women’s Curling Team with the very able help of Keely Brown at third, Taylor McDonald at second and Claire Tully in lead took Gold today. They prevailed over Korea 6 to 4 to take top spot on the podium. This is the first time since 2003 that our Juniors have taken Gold at the World Cup.

Well done, girls.

The Junior Men’s team of Braden Calvert at skip, Kyle Kurz – third, Lucas Van Den Bosch – second and Brendan Wilson in lead, finished just off the podium in fourth spot.

Next time, guys – good effort.
