For the first time since 2007 and battling back from injuries, the men's downhill ski team took Gold and Bronze at the Alpine Ski Championships in Chamonix, France and the winning didn't stop there.

"Canada's men and women of winter, the same crew, pretty much, that made the nation giddy with a record 14 gold medals at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler, haven't lost the midas touch. When things had finally Saturday night Canadians had won eight gold, four silver and six bronze medals at various World Cup events over the weekend."
