Interesting karrie. This is exactly the message of the gathering that I was at last week, that there is only one race and that our survival is dependent on, not only acceptance of everyone as our brothers and sisters, but that all living things on the planet are part of the greater whole, that without them, we do not exist.
Cool. My wife was talking about this recently and it goes further into empathy and sharing. Apparently we don't recognize sharing as a loss the same way we do if something is taken from us or is lost or destroyed.
