I know alot of people know that Buddhism isnt involved with god-worshipping .. but this is for the uneducated fools that think Buddha is a god..he isnt ..he is a man whom i base my principles on and appreciate as a role model.. thank you for listening.

I've also heard this theory.
Some people do seem to worship him, though, as if he had transcended at the moment of enlightenment. Maybe it depends which school or sect of buddhism you belong to?
I'm very fond of Hermann Hesse's "Siddhartha" have you ever read it? it touches upon buddhism

Im not buddhist but I admire his teachings. As in all things there are those who glean what the teachers has to give and others that are extremists.

no not really. i just think that if everyone is trying so hard to one-up the next man...why cant they use the tenacity they put into that to help out that other person... its like having an entire "sorry im trying to relate this to an experience ive had.." mosh pit where everyone is hitting people and instead of helping them up... they kick them when they are down..so that they can avoid being in that position. sorry if that didnt make sense ..im new to explaining how i feel ^^

Thank you^^ and just to be clear.. i will never try to convert someone.. i STRONGLY believe religion is a personal choice.. no pastor,rabbi, or anyone else should EVER try to force a religion on someone. and yes this also includes school teachers..

In Asia, buddhism has mixed with other religious traditions and is often seen as the business of the monks. The lay people support the monks and cling to all kinds of superstitions. So a lot of them pray to the buddha and offer some incense for personal requests, very similar to the practices of other religions. [This is my observation, not the slightest intent to put anybody down here for their beliefs.]
BTW, I didn't like Siddharta at all. It's too mixed up with Hindu thoughts for me.

First off Hinduism is a relativly new word for many different people practising Vedic teachings.
Buddha was born into a Vedic system of thought. He neither denied the existance of or proclaimed the existance of God the creator.
There are so many scriptures written in His name hundreds of years after His death.
Some of His main teachings we know for sure are the following:
Do not follow the person follow the teaching.
Do not look towards Me ,or any other god or demon to help you.
He left us a strong wish for beings to listen to the teachings of Karma and the cause and effect of our actions.
He was born a prince and asked His followers to not take authority at face value and ALWAYS question authority.
He only left one mantra, that being The Hundred Sylabill Vajrasatva mantra. A mantra of purification .
