Humanities first rituals, much older than previosly thought

A new discovery in Africa shows that modern Homo Sapiens have performed advanced rituals as early as 70,000 years ago. Before this discovery, it was thought that the first rituals were performed in Europe 40,000 years ago. The San people in Africa as one of their creation stories believed that man they had descended from the python. Also important animals are the Giraffe who is believed to have pulled the python from a body of water it could not escape, and an elephant. These paintings are found in the cave precisely where water was running down the wall of the cave.

mankind descended from the python and the ancient, arid streambeds around the hills are said to have been created by the python as it circled the hills in its ceaseless search for water.

meh, I don't believe any creation stories out there. I think it's interesting that the now earliest rituals, thought we came from other animals.
