For God to condemn you justto die for you is ridiculous and immoral.

In doing so, God would beendorsing human sacrifice and the notion that punishing the innocent instead ofthe guilty is good justice. He would also be condoning suicide.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul thatsinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of therighteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be uponhim.

Psalm 49:7 None of them canby any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

Substitutionary atonement isimmoral according to scriptures and all other holy books that I know of. Ithink that the guilty should be punished and not an innocent human or even aman being ridden like a mule, ---- to use common jargon, --- by a God/Jesus.This is likely the moral reason why most Jews do not accept Jesus as themessiah along with the fact that Jesus did not fulfill the other Jewishrequirements set by their books and myths.

People are supposed to martyrthemselves for their God, not their God martyr himself for them.

Do you agree that for God tocondemn you just to die for you is ridiculous and immoral?

If you believe thatsubstitutionary atonement is moral, please provide an argument to support yourposition.

There are also ample quotesin scripture that speak against God wanting any sacrifice at all and if youembrace the notion of innocent blood atonement and God setting Jesus as theransom for sins, then please view these for the real biblical perspective.

''goddamn" doesn't curse your god -- that term is an invocation --- so get your facts straight

;)

Bull.

God gave YOU life to begin with, saying Goddamn is the same as saying "damn you God", which doesn't give God the due honor He deserves. It's called blasphemy and it's serious in God's eyes.

If you don't cooperate and die you can't be reborn can you?

Not true. This life is your window of opportunity to be reborn. After death is too late my friend. When you are born-again (spiritually reborn) God makes you a whole new person. (And why anyone would reject this and eternal life is beyond me)

If anyone is in Christ, the old has passed away, BEHOLD! THE NEW HAS COME! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Why is this f*cktard still hangin' around these boards?

Can someone please post some links to porn or something for him/her to obsess over and get this creepy guy outta CC

Thank you! I'm all down for discussing the topic of God, but it's the same old BS with this guy. Waaa! God is mean and unfair!

Well ignoring him for 7 hours seemed to have worked.

Kinda too late to continue with that plan now though.

Looks like you might have to dig into your secret porn stash and distract him that way.

We're all countin' on ya honey!

My secret porn stash?!? That sounds more like a job for Locutus or Bear.

Just saying, lol.;)

Besides why do I have to be the one to distract the weird guy?

Hey, maybe we can get Teddyballgame to do it, kind of like a two birds/one stone deal. Whadda think?

The old you has to die for the new spiritual you to live.

Like I said the old you (the beast within the one we were given dominion over) has passed away the new is the spiritual you.

Well since god is everything he certainly must also be mean and unfair, however this is also for your spiritual awakening, by tests and trials, remember you are already in hell. The whole piece about religion deal exclusively with the incarnation of spirit into matter. The birth of self conscience period and nothing else.

IBM doesn't know basic English = it's god damn not damn god as he thinks

But what's the use - he is so entrenched in his thinking just like the OP.

From wiki:

"God damn," or "Goddamn," is still considered highly blasphemous by religious people, taken either as a condemnation of God or as a violation of the commandment against taking God's name in vain.

From God's Word:

Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain (misuse).

I don't doubt that you understand the negative connotations of saying "Goddamn", but like many unbelievers you like to play the game "I know better than God, it's not blasphemy". Foolish.

The old you has to die for the new spiritual you to live.

Agreed.

Don't know where you get the idea that "God is everything". Can He be both unfair and just at the same time? Of course not, that contradictory. Your philosophy sounds "new age" to me...

There is no conceivable way given the rules of English grammar that "god damn" can be taken as a condemnation of god, it's a curse, a request that the deity consign somebody or something to the eternal sulfurous flames.

It's more fun when a woman does it. Your gender is so much more intellectual and cunning in the way that you go about the strategy.

I think Teddy could be effective as well, but I want to observe the tactics and watch the whole scenario roll-out as only you can do.

English grammar isn't the standard, God's Word is. According to Him, misusing His name is blasphemy. Now, how can an unbeliever misuse His name to consign someone to eternal punishment when he doesn't believe in God's existence in the first place? The unbeliever says "Goddamn" not to invoke God to do something but because he has condemnation for God in his heart.

"Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." (Matthew 12:34)

God's name is Yahweh, his TITLE is God. Man wasn't allowed to use the name Yahweh for quite some tiime, hence the blasphemy schitick.

Some still don't and use YHWH in writing.

There are some other things you stick to as well.

- I shall respect Rex
- I shall never misuse Rex Kwon Do
- I shall be a champion of freedom and justice

If you want to parse a phrase or sentence in English for meaning, the rules of English grammar are the standard. God did not make the rules of English grammar, people did. The phrase "god damn" something, whatever the target is, it or you or me or the Prime Minister or the government, whatever, may well be blasphemous by your lights, taking the divine name in vain and all that, but it cannot be read as a condemnation of god. Unless of course god is the target and you're asking him to condemn himself to Hell.

The unbeliever says "Goddamn" not to invoke God to do something but because he has condemnation for God in his heart.
It doesn't occur to you that maybe unbelievers say it because it's a standard expletive phrase in the language and they're angry, and it doesn't mean anything more than saying "FAAAAAAACK" does?

God damn, you know good ole God must have one hell of a sense of humour.
The book he wrote of symbols has been taken literally in all things which was
never intended at all. Perhaps God was the original JK Rowling who wrote the
greatest novel of all time. Burning bushes, sex, death, war, politics, and mystery
he got it all and travelled about telling the story over and over.
God if he is angry its time to bring on the lightning and if so this forum is in all
kinds of trouble. Not to many lightning storms approaching winter though.
