Yeah, in my view, life is meant to be enjoyed, because when you're dead, you're dead. I'm often irreverent and insensitive, because I figure it's better to find the humour in life. Why be humourless?
When my family joined to spread my father's ashes in the river as per his wish, we drank rye (his favorite before he had to quit drinking), and swore about the weather (his favorite past time), and then tossed his ashes into the water. I'm sure some people would have found that undignified, but we all knew that he would approve.
