I activated pay-as-you-go with rogers.
Basically, how does this work?
card expires 30 days later, if all minutes are not used is it possible to extand it to next month?
does the internet work with pay-as-you-go? if yes what are the rates?
does it calculate minute, or seconds of talk? like if I talk 21 seconds, is it recorded as 1 minute or 21 seconds?
does the messaging cost me something?
I apreciate any answer
Thanks a lot.
Sure, I can answer all of your questions, I'm pretty sure, as I sell the stupid things
Cards do expire within 30 days, but like others said, if you carry over the minutes by buying more, you can carry over the original balance. Time is calculated to the minute.
Like others said, there are the $100 cards as well, which last the time or for one full year, whichever is used up first.
You can get Internet, and the costs are as follows:
Surfing on your mobile Internet browser: 2¢ per page
Downloadable Games: Starting at $3 plus 50¢ download fee
Downloadable Ring Tunes: Starting at $2.10 plus 50¢ download fee
Downloadable Graphics: Starting at $1.50 plus 50¢ download fee
Online Games: 2¢ per page viewed
Text messages are free to receive (up to 2,500) and are 15¢ each to send.
P.S. Luckily for you, the Rogers rates for pay-as-you-go just got a lot better. The old, default plan called the 'Anytime plan' still costs 33 cents/min, but the new 'All Day Plan' only costs 25/min for the first 5 mins, and 15 cents/min after that) and the evenings plan dropped too (39 cents/min before 9, 1 cent/min after and on weekends). It's free to change your plan if you call Rogers, or you can do it online.
Frankly though, even with the lower rates, they're still poop when compared with the Megatime plans you can get in Central Canada. Any reasons you went with the pay-go?
