For months now, the Trumptards have been saying 'allegedly' as if we didn't already know.
Stormy Daniels definitely had sexual relationship with Donald Trump, porn star's lawyer says
Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who has intermittently claimed to have had an affair with Donald Trump, definitely had sex with the president, her lawyer has said.
Attorney Michael Avenatti spoke out on the Today Show shortly after filing a bombshell lawsuit on behalf of Ms Daniels. The suit claims Mr Trump’s attorney paid the actress $130,000 in “hush money” in exchange for her signature on a nondisclosure agreement about her intimate relationship with the president.
Asked point-blank if the “intimate relationship” between Mr Trump and Ms Daniels was sexual, Mr Avenatti replied: “Yes.”
He also indicated that there was more information about the affair to come, telling interviewer Savannah Guthrie that there are “many other facts and evidence that we have, and we think that's going to come to light”.
Mr Trump has repeatedly denied the affair. The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the suit.
Ms Daniels, meanwhile, has issued varying statements about the alleged affair, which she says began at celebrity golf tournament in 2006 and lasted well into the next year. The actress first made her allegations in a 2011 interview with InTouch, where she laid out her claims in specific detail.
But the interview wasn’t published until this year, when the Wall Street Journal reported that Mr Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, had paid her $130,000 in the months before the election. Mr Cohen later confirmed having made the payment, but said it came from his personal funds without the direction of Mr Trump.
Since then, Ms Daniels has issued her own statement, claiming the affair “never happened” and that she was not paid for her silence. That same day, however, she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and suggested the signature on the statement was not hers.
