On February 9, during the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, one of the NBC broadcasters, identified to be Joshua Cooper Ramo, in introducing Team Japan, said the following: (on the video, from 00:47-00:58)

"...now representing Japan, a country which occupied Korea from 1910 to 1945. But EVERY Korean will tell you that Japan is a cultural and technological and economic example that has been so important to their own transformation…"

lol

Ramo has been benched and NBC has apologized.

The Japanese were a nightmare.

The Japs rounded up young Korean women by the tens of thousands and put them in military brothels for the enjoyment of the Nippon armed forces.

Korean men were conscripted into the same forces. I remember reading a reminiscence of a Canadian who had been a POW in a Japanese camp that the Korean prison guards were the cruelest and most brutal ones.

A far more brutal culture.

Germans are basically frenchmen with an attitude.
