My favourite is this shot of Saturn:

That shot of Earth is a good reminder of the insignificance of man on the permanence of time....

Woof!

Yeah, I missed it initially on the full image but it is there.

The photo showing the International Space Station and the shuttle against the sun is pretty impressive as well.

From my home planet we can't even see your solar system. It's way over the curvature of the electromagnetic spectrum....too far to see.

We have doubts than any viable life form can continue to occupy that space-time given the nature of the indigenous species.

Here are a few pictures taken through a very small telescope: Jupiter, Saturn, and the moon.

Hey Juan :)

Great photos.

How many people do you think realize that the light they're looking at coming from so distant objects has taken a very long time to get here? Of course our good friend China doesn't want anyone looking back in time.....

It's true. Even the light from the sun left the sun 8 minutes ago.

If you have a decent telescope, and you can find the Crab Nebula, the light from the Crab Nebula took 4,000 years to get here.

The light from Andromeda took about two million years.

Andromeda could have blown up 6 months ago and we wouldn't know it for two million years or, it could have blown up 1,999,999 years ago and we will see it wink out of existence sometime this year
