Quoting FUBAR

So your religion has more than one god, how multi-supreme being of you. Anyway how do you know you have the only god, I can name loads of other gods each as believable as yours. No, safest to stay neutral and be atheist, imagine going to heaven and finding you've backed the wrong religion all this time, tut tut. Gods can accept atheists but following the wrong one would be hell (literally).......
This expression "We" in plural is used in the Quran to glorify God His Majesty the King (and among the excellent names of God is the King, the Owner, the One, the Almighty ...etc.)

This is common in the language of the Arab, and it is used till now by kings when they say: We the king of Jordan or other countries.

The first word in the Islam is No god but God alone without any associate.

If you want to be saved in the next world, then believe in God alone without associate, son, equal or patron; and work the righteous work as much as you can for the sake of God alone not for others (not for Moses, Jesus, Mohammed or other prophets and saints).

This is in the Quran 18: 110

The explanation:

(Say: "I am only a human being like yourselves; [but] I am inspired that your God is only One God. Then let him who hopes to meet his Lord, work righteous works and associate none in worshipping his Lord.)

The interpretation:

>> (Say [to them, O Mohammed]: "I am only a human being like yourselves): I cannot do anything without the might of my Lord.

>> ([but only] I am inspired that your God is only One God); therefore do not serve anyone apart from Him, and do not assign for Him any associate, neither any intercessor nor any redeemer.

>> (Then let him who hopes to meet his Lord)
And have the congratulation for admission to Paradise, and the angels will welcome him with the glad tidings,

>> Then let him (work righteous works, and associate in worshipping his Lord none [of the created beings and creatures].)

See the images once again:

The comet in the darkness

The asteroid in the sun shine:
They're both in the sunshine you silly man, that's the only way we can see them. And yes, I do "know and grasp the knowledge and science," as you rather clumsily put it. I think a successful 30+ year career in the subject speaks for itself. The ignorant one here is you.

Both of them are in sunshine, and see the difference.

It is known that science without good manner is nothing; moreover, the good manner is essential particularly in the internet: because usually they hide behind the internet and their pseudo-names; then any bad conduct will indicate the cowardice and lowliness.

When I started posting here in this Canadian forum, I have known many gentle men and women, and many noble friends with their noble descent: men who belong to different sects.

When I wrote my posts in the forum, and mentioned the Quranic quotations, there were some who – from the start – took an antagonist position, on the pretext of science. They did not stick to the science and discuss the scientific ideas, but they started to mock and ridicule the Quran: like: the Quran was written since 1400 years; the man who wrote the Quran belongs to the seventh century; religion is false and there is no god as they lied.

In particular, the one naming himself Dexter Sinister who "knows no bounds", as they say, and in fact he transgressed the bounds against the religion, the Quran, the Prophet and in fact all religions and all heavenly books and he was against God.

He did not discuss the subject in scientific way, as many members did, but he started to take that a pretext to transgress on the Quran, he and some of his friends.

If he is truly scientific, he will discuss any subject from scientific aspects, explaining how such idea is right or wrong, and that's it.

If he claims the "science", why will not he limit himself to discussing the subject in scientific way? And no one may oblige anyone to accept or refuse any scientific idea.

Moreover, this one started to mock me and transgress on me incessantly with words of non-respect and transgression: like ignorant, silly and many other bad words.

I can return ten folds words against such man, but that will be against me; because I invite others to the Glorious Quran, and this will be ridiculous to speak some words that are not proper.

Therefore, from now on, I shall not reply to this one and some of his friends, whatever he shouted and cried with good or bad words. And I leave to other members and guests to see all his replies to this thread in particular.

From your Glorious Quran:

3:66
Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge? Allah knoweth. Ye know not.

The explanation: don't argue about things you know nothing about.

Generally, the rain comes down from the sky, as in a large number of the Quran ayat, like this aya 25: 48
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء طَهُورًا
The explanation: (And it is He Who sends the winds, bearing good tidings just before His mercy [: the rain], and We send down from the sky purifying water.)

So He explained here that the rain water comes down from the sky, and that it is heralded by a certain kind of the wind that will bear to them the glad tidings that the rain is coming. God explained also that the rain water is pure and palatable to drinking and is purifying of the dirt when used by man for washing, and it purifies the atmosphere from the smoke and dust and other polluting substances.

Because it is hot and less denser than the cold air, the hot wind and the cloud rising up will be faced by the snow scattered in the high altitudes like in the cirrus and alto clouds, so this rising hot wind and cloud will come below that snow, and will be prevented from rising up, and the hot wind and the cloud will heat that snow leading to its melting [in addition to some pressure effect, because the hot wind and cloud will be prevented, by that snow, from rising up].

This will lead to melting of that snow into water drops that will come down through the cloud that has come below, and when it is falling down, it will drag more water droplets from the lower cloud leading to the falling down of the rain in profuse amount.
The rain
The presence of the hot wind and cloud is essential, without which the rain will not fall, then when the snow will accumulate, it will come down in the snow form, like in some cold countries in winter, because there is no hot wind to melt that snow.
The snow

N.B. The Quran is only in Arabic; the English words are merely the translation of the meaning, and the English words are not the Quran.

Nuts! I have seen it rain when there wasn't a visible cloud overhead and it is also not necessarily preceeded by a "certain kind of the wind". lmao

It may not be necessary for such cold air to come just before the rain; but this may occur when there is a cold front.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Example_of_a_cold_front.svg

In case there is no cloud above you, it may be because of the wind that brings the rain from another neighboring area, when the cloud is not over head.
This is true, that there is no cloud overhead, when the snow comes down, and there is no cloud (and of course no hot wind).
If there is such a hot wind and cloud, it will rain rather than it will snow.

The Quran is marvelous; it is even superior to the present knowledge; it is authentic; it cannot be that Mohammed invented it; the Quran is the word of God: word by word.

Says eanassir. He's quite wrong of course, as usual. If you actually ever read the thing, you'll find it's badly written, disjointed, frequently wrong, often incoherent, and not very interesting.

Generally I don't. I haven't responded to his threads in the religion forum, for instance, but when he calls it science and makes claims like he has in this thread, I'm going to correct him, because he's wrong. I think he's put me on ignore now though, for the things I've said to him in this thread, that seems to be the gist of something he said a few posts back.

G'day Dex!

I find myself less and less interested in much that's happening in these threads... Of course the option is my own insofar as continuing to bother with reading this tripe or not...

But the investment in time and effort attempting to wheedle some sense out of this stuff...well quite frankly it isn't worth it...

Enjoy reading your input and find it refreshing that a man of reason and rationality takes the time and makes the effort to entertain sometime ridiculous tripe...

Have a good one....
