Most of the mountains are not from Earth in origin

The mountains are two kinds:
  • The newly formed: were formed from volcano eruptions, from earthquakes causing depression and elevation of the earth surface and from various other geological factors.
  • But most of the mountains fell down on Earth from the outer space in the ancient times, in the form of meteorites and portions of the destroyed old planets of the previous solar system.

The Previous Solar System:
There was another solar system before this present one: there was a sun around which some planets were orbiting. The last Doomsday destroyed that sun together with its planets:
  • The previous sun was broken up into nine planets :) our present planets) that started to orbit around the nearest sun :) our present sun.)
  • The previous planets were broken up into many pieces that were attracted by the newly formed planets :) our present planets); they settled down on the planets forming the mountains and the mountainous ranges of the Earth and the rest of the present planets.

The previous sun >> the present Earth and the other planets.

The previous planets >> large and small pieces and meteorites >> the mountains of our Earth and the other planets.

Those pieces and meteorites, that became the mountains, carried life to the Earth and the other planets, in the form of seeds, branches of plants and decayed organic substances and remnants of bodies of animals and plants; the because the previous planets were inhabited by man, animal and plant. So life came embedded in the mountains, that were parts of the destroyed planets.
Therefore, life started from mountains not from seas.

Life is transmittable (or migrant) from one inhabited planet of the past solar system [that was destroyed in the past Doomsday], to another planet in the newly formed solar system.

The settlement of the mountains on the Earth, in its early life, caused
1. Its inclination of 23 degrees on its axis; to form the seasons and for other advantages.
2. And made its movement more steady and regular (like the lead weights used in the car wheel balance) so that its movement is so steady that we do not feel it in spite of its quick movement around its axis; glory be to God!
3. And carried life to it.
4. And the mountains, after falling down, were firmly rooted like the pegs of the tent [they had roots and bases under the surface of the ground.] This may have an advantage of fixing the crust of the Earth?
This is confirmed by many Quranic revelations.

God – be exalted – said in the Quran, 16: 15
وَأَلْقَى فِي الأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ
The explanation: (And He cast [mountains] that landed on the earth; lest it should move irregularly with you.)

When they estimated the earth age, they in fact estimated the age of these rocks, which are very old, but may not have originated on our Earth. Even some fossils might have come embedded in those parts of the old planets that have become the mountains on our Earth.

You are giving me a stomach ache

Mountains cast onto Earth from somewhere else? If all this, and the other nonsense you speak of comes out of the Quran, I'm surprised it has lasted this long.

The Quran points out to a comet that visited the sky of Niveveh in the time of Prophet Jonah in the Quranic revelation 86: 1-3
(و السّماءِ و الطّارِقِ . و ما أدْراكَ ما الطّارِقُ . النّجْمُ الثّاقِبُ .)
The explanation: (1- [I swear] by the sky [of Nineveh] and [its] ‘night visitant’!
2-But can you imagine what a ‘night visitant’ [that was!?]
3-It was the [tailed-] star with sharp brilliancy [: the flaming comet.] )

It means: the flaming comet.

:The comet that bombarded Jupiter, caused explosions and fireballs more than the size of the Earth, as they said.

Sorry, having grown up in the Appalachians, Im not a big believer in this theory.

I say: Some of the mountains of the earth, like some long mountainous ranges, were formed from earthquakes or othre geological factors causing some parts of the earth depressed and other parts elevated. And there are other known geological factors in forming these newly-formed mountains.

See at our website:

the subject of: http://universeandquran.741.com/new_page_2.htm#Mountains

Then, if we emagine the earth will break up into 100 pieces or more and these pieces will fall and land on another newly-formed planet; then we can imagine such huge mountainous regions in different parts of the world.

In the bush near Sudbury
Continental drift creates mountains when plates collide. That explains why some mountains are basaltic (underwater formed igneous) some are granitic (air formed igneous) and some, sedimentary.

Fossils are found in sedimentary rock - rock formed from underwater sediments. Admittedly, some meteorite impacts have left deposits in the Earth. Mineral wealths in the Sudbury Basin are an excellent example. An impact with an object as big as a range of mountains would certainly have blown this rock to oblivion.

I'm reading a very interesting book at present about British Columbia, it explains how our province was formed and how the MOUNTAINS came to be. No similarity to the above explanation, but what
I am reading makes good sense and is based on scientific fact, so I'll go with that .

This should be a debate topic in spirituality other faiths secton. Akin to god creating the earth in 7 days. Ancient people would have ancient explanations for natural phenomena like comets and meteorites. A mountain sized meteor would do far more damage than the relatively small one that took out the dinosaurs. Even a small hill sized one would vapourize when it struck the surface. Sorry but the Quran is incorrect on this point.

This is a mountain near my place , the co-ordants are from Google Earth. This is an old volcano. Looking at it seems clear.
Any moutains you would like to point out that claim to be 'extra terrestrial' eanassir?

PS anyone know how to get the degree thingy on the keyboard?
I used the asterix :(

You need the character map applet. It's called charmap.exe and on a standard Windows installation it'll be in c:\windows\system32. You can do all kinds of neat stuff with it. Fractions like ¼, ½ and a few others, the degree sign °, characters with extra marks on them, like è, é, and ê, foreign currency signs like £ and ¥, Greek letters, Arabic letters, Cyrillic letters, line segments you can use to draw boxes, and so on.

eanassir.

if we imagine the earth broke up into even 10000 peices, they'd still all be much bigger than any of our mountains.

Why don't you LOOK at the mountains, READ the current geological theories and test your theories against them?

I'm sorry but you can't just go round stating "mountains are made of smashed up planets, and here's my proof, someone wrote it down in arabic 3000 years ago".

did you know that only a few hundred years ago a bunch of scientists wrote that some chemicals burned because of a substance they called "phlogiston"? I could go round quoting them and expecting everyone to believe me too, if I didn't have a brain I used regularly.

also you can memorize the keystrokes for them. degrees is alt+0176 (hold down alt, press 0, then 1 then 7 then 6 then let go of alt). mu (micro) is alt+0181. I use those two all the time.
