'Where's Mummy and Daddy?'
8th March 2007
These are the heartwarming pictures of Ivy, Fern and Bracken, the badger triplets being hand-reared at an animal centre after being discovered by a farmer.
The orphaned cubs were found by a building site in the early hours of the morning. It's thought their mother may have been trying to move them after their underground home was disturbed by the building work but the mother has not been found.
The cubs are the first of this year's baby animals to come to Secret World Wildlife Rescue in Somerset, a company which specialises in rescuing and caring for orphaned and injured wild creatures.
Their future could be in doubt however after the call for a culling of badgers by worried farmers, concerned that they may be to blame for a TB crisis.
