PITTSBURGH - A woman was hospitalized on Tuesday after her car fell into a sinkhole that opened up in a Pittsburgh-area parking lot, officials said.
News footage showed the sinkhole in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, was about three times the width of a car and filled with water.
The sinkhole opened up in the parking lot of a tanning salon, according to an Allegheny County Police dispatcher.
The woman was backing out of a parking space when her car sank, and local media photos showed a white sedan falling into the hole rear-end first.
She escaped out of her car window before the vehicle submerged and was listed in good condition at an area hospital, according to WPXI television.
Sinkholes form when rock below the earth's surface is dissolved by groundwater, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Local media reported that a storm drain runoff pipe had collapsed during recent heavy rains.

Why would the bank destroy the collateral?
Why not? At least down here in the U.S., the banks are letting hundreds of thousands of foreclosed houses rot away. So much so that cities and counties are suing the banks to require them to do minimum maintenance on all these properties.

That's just one example. More generally, a big bank doesn't see things the way you do, Walter. Big banks do things that defy good sense to support their policies. Surely we can agree on that? That's not a liberal or conservative issue. If anything, conservatives should be more angry at the big banks than liberals, seeing as how, at least in the U.S., the big banks are now effectively part of the government.

Where have you been since 1913? You have never lived for one minute when the US banks did not control government and eliminate opponents including presidents. That tiny sinkhole bite the car it did not swallow it. Certainly the pot hole did not deserve a thread.

Actually the trick the conservatvies should try is not to be angry at all.
