That's what some say and others say it is dangerous.

He said, she said. It's a question of who's spinning and who's researching.

Seems the writer's issue is more with the reporting of it in the media than anything. When your story is about someone else's story, I guess it's a slow news day.

How does methane get into your water supply?

When thousands upon thousands of people leave cities for kitsch little acrages, drill water wells and install thousands upon thousands of septic systems, gases build up below the surface especially if your well source lacks an aquitard or build up seasonally below the active layer.

In otherwords., don't sh-t were you sleep.

That doesn't make much sense to me. Methane gas is not very soluble and would rise, not disappear down artesian wells. Also worth noting that scinetists usually identify the type of methane in water when found (i.e. whteher it is biogenic or fomr fossil fuels).

Base flows into stream and ground surfaces freeze solid trapping gases which are water solible giving them the ability to migrate up down or side to side.

science has become political and that is because science used to be put to
public scrutiny and was seen as independent. The government research
centers were or are being phased out over time and private industry has now
taken over. I do not trust the private sector with research as a stand alone
when they have a large vested interest.
The problem is we don't know what harm or lack there of is being done.
Not enough research on an independent level is being done. Same with GMO
we don't know. These things require a decade of research, instead we are
left with a rush to judgement on both sides of the issue.
I am not a rabid environmentalist I just want to be sure of what's happening to
ground water and the health of the planet in common terms
If I don't know the answer to a proposal of something I say test it out with credible
people. If it becomes a practice and there is doubt I will oppose it until I am
satisfied its safe
