We don't get a long detailed articles about Canada in our Texas newspaper. More than likely, it's on the back page. But, this one caught my eye. I tried to find any mention of it on the forums, but I couldn't.

FROM WIRE REPORTS

MONTREAL - The province of Quebec passed landmark legislation Wednesday stipulating that Muslim women will need to uncover their faces when dealing with Quebec government services.

Way to go, Quebec! It's only common sense. I hope Quebec has set a precedent.

Ya it was posted. I can't find it at the moment.

But the gist of the thread came do to anyone that agreed with Quebec's legislation, was a bigot according to the resident Joo haters.

I for one was counted among the bigots, because I believe one should have to identify oneself to be eligible to receive my taxpayer funded services.

It only seemed reasonable, as to remove the ability to defraud the Gov't in any way.

But I guess I was wrong...

Of course you would be...you use commonsense.

Now if you can get them to wear the necessary items when it comes for security as in hard hats and steel toe boots at work .

If you want to be a 'Freeman' then stand up and be who you are. If you choose to submit to powers that would subjugate you, don't expect the 'Freemen' to accommodate you. We have our security to protect. Muslims tend to, by order of the Quaran, endanger it. Allah, read the designers of the Allah brand, never saw this coming.

Are you selectively blind? Showing your face in-front of the government is something everyone has to do but Muslims. They don't deserve special privileges. Either everyone can hide their face or no one can, that my friend, is freedom. Not selective freedom like you seem to support.

Ya, they have the new hard hat that fits over the hijab and turbans. It's just that all the secular people in this country have to pay for the equipment to accommodate the religious beliefs of the minority.

(I have no idea if this actually happens in this case but I would bet my left nut we pay for a bunch of stupid **** in the name of Allah).

Because Quebec is allowed to be more racist (in order to defend the culture), they can do things like this, which essentially helps bring the pendulum back to the center.

If Ontario (or, god forbid, Alberta) did this, the outrage would be unbelievable.

Yep...good for Quebec....and a good day for women as well. Perhaps this is a step to get them out of those silly ghost sheets. Halloween is for kids anyways.

Quebec won Hooray now they got to get the ones wearing the crosses to take them off when dealing with the government and the Jews to take off their hats and skullcaps and the Asians to take off their turbans and then get rid of all religious symbols from Quebec where does it end.

As long as Texans are happy then it's worth it

I'm not sure what kind of hats and crosses you've seen, but none of them disguise a person's face.

As humans, we identify each other by face: passports, drivers licenses, etc, all use photo for id.

Since we identify each other by face, it is only right that when using government services, we don't disguise or cover up our faces.

If we were a society of dogs, the issue would be about perfuming our butts.

However, the issue is hiding/disguising our identity.
