Police in Saskatoon charged two men Monday morning after one of them allegedly threw a snake over the counter at a Tim Hortons during a sandwich dispute.
Cops said they were called to the Timmies around 7:30 a.m. Two men, both 20 years old, had been arguing with an employee because they wanted the onions on their sandwiches diced.
"As the argument escalated, one of the men reached into the pocket of his friend's coat, pulled out a snake and threw it behind the counter," police said in a news release.
Staff "fled the store in fear" and no one was injured.
The suspects are accused of mischief and causing a disturbance.
Police have found a place to keep the snake until it can be released into the wild in the spring.
The names of the accused weren't released.
Cops tweeted the news about the arrests with the hashtag #cantmakethisstuffup.

Here in Canada everybody is entitled to bear Snakes.

Jeebus, bear snakes...I hope I never run into a bear snake....

That poor snake. Just trying to go about his day when he's scooped up, put inside some schmucks pocket and then thrown.

They must have thought they were at McD's...Timmy ho don't do onions.
