Woman dead, man drowned after ATV crash

WINNIPEG -- A woman was killed after losing control of her ATV which then rammed into a fisherman who was knocked into the water and is presumed drowned.
Blue Hills RCMP responded around 8:30 p.m. Saturday to the accident at the Rivers Reservoir spillway, approximately 30 km northwest of Brandon, Man.
RCMP say a 58-year-old woman was driving an ATV down an embankment and lost control, striking a 39-year-old man from Brandon who was fishing there. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was knocked into the water.
RCMP search and rescue efforts were unsuccessful in finding him and RCMP say he is presumed drowned.
The investigation is continuing and alcohol is not considered a factor.
