A dollar store in Gimli, Man., has pulled from its shelves a gag item that claims to cure gayness, according to reports.
Gay Away is made by Toronto-area novelty company Laughrat, which also makes "pills" called Farter's Choice ("End of the Big Stink"), Extra Strength Damitol ("When you've had enough") and Small Cox.
The package says Gay Away "stops the craving for misbehaving." The pills are "***** flavoured."
The store removed the product from its shelves after parents complained. The owner told CBC the sale of Gay Away was an oversight and an "honest mistake."
Gimli is located about 90 km north of Winnipeg.
