Elgin OPP are looking for someone who threw four puppies out of a moving truck.
Police say they received a report from a rural resident on Thursday that a pickup truck pulled up near their home about 8:10 p.m. and four Jack Russell puppies were tossed out the window.
The puppies appeared to be about six-to-seven weeks old. Three were seriously injured.
A motorist pulled up when he saw the resident looking in the ditch and took the injured puppies to an emergency veterinarian in London. The fourth puppy was kept by the resident.
The residence is located between Mckillop Road and Dunborough Road on Talbot Line.
The truck was described as an early 2000s, black 4-door Ford Explorer.
The suspect vehicle’s rims and lower panels were rusted and it has a loud muffler.
Anyone with further information on this incident is asked to contact the Elgin County OPP at 519-631-2920 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
