SHELBURNE, Ont. -- There are reports that a girl has died after being crushed by a horse in Shelburne.
Several media outlets are reporting the 12-year-old girl was knocked off the horse just before the start of a parade in the community northwest of Toronto.
According to the reports the horse then crushed her.
She was rushed to hospital by later died of her injuries.
The parade was reportedly cancelled.
Police say an autopsy is planned but no further details are being released.
