LONDON, Ont. -- A London, Ont., couple who used their two-year-old niece to make child pornography pleaded guilty Tuesday to a combined 15 charges.
The man, 45, and the woman, 43, parents of two teenage boys, had a consuming interest in child porn, assistant Crown attorney Elizabeth Maguire said as she read the agreed facts of the case.
Their disturbing sexual appetites included texting each other violent sexual fantasies involving children and activities involving his father's dog.
Officers monitored the couple's computer activity after finding suspected child porn files downloaded to their IP address.
Text messages found on the couple's cellphones showed some disturbing content in which they discussed including "L and A", presumably initials for people, in their activities.
"Should I grab a little one to bring home for us to play with?" he wrote to her in one message.
Days after their arrest, the man's sister approached police with concerns the couple had babysat her two year-old daughter.
They'd pestered her to allow them to care for the child.
On the man's cellphone were 107 photos of the girl. In all of them, she was naked and on the bed in the couple's bedroom.
More text messages suggested the couple wanted to involve children. Maguire said police believe "L" described in a message was the daughter of someone who knows the couple and was aware one of them had child porn on a phone.
She wouldn't let her daughter go to the house for a play date.
The couple are to be sentenced Sept. 17.
