A woman driving on Highway 401 in Mississauga during rush hour on Monday had a sheet of ice smash through her windshield after it came flying off of a transport truck.

I once had an eight foot hardwood log come off an oncoming truck sliding toward me like a torpedo, another time a rock about the size of a soft ball came out from between the duals of a gravel truck and came through the windshield of my VW, lucky I was alone.
