OWEN SOUND, Ont. -- A 45-year-old Grey Highlands, Ont., man banned for life from operating a motor vehicle had his garden tractor impounded after he took it for a spin.
OPP received a report about noon Wednesday of a possibly impaired man riding a dirt bike in Eugenia, Ont., west of Barrie, Ont.
An OPP officer in the area saw the suspect driving a garden tractor on his property in Eugenia, a news release said.
The man was warned not to operate any motor vehicle anywhere due to his lifetime ban, but despite the warning, he drove the lawn tractor onto the road.
He was arrested and a roadside breath test was conducted. While the man was not impaired, alcohol was a factor, the news release stated.
The man has been charged with driving while disqualified and two counts of driving while under suspension. The lawn tractor was impounded for 45 days.
He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court May 29.

Ours used to get busted by the cops while driving his lawn tractor to and from the beer store. Drunk both ways. Sad really.


The problem was solved when he drank himself to death.


He was actually a pretty nice fellow.
