SRINAGAR, India (Reuters) - Police in Indian Kashmir usually accustomed to fighting separatist militants have a new target in their sights -- teenagers canoodling in parks, restaurants and at Internet cafes.

Harper will no doubt send in a few troops...............if requested.......................by Curious George who is probably against "canoodeling", unless he is invited.

Some will no doubt die.

They will get "full honours"

Harper will still be an asshole.

Er, sorry. Was just thinking about Der Harper when reading this, and just blurted out.

Blurt.

India is an enigma. Going through growing pains as the out source jobs from the US provide a whole new class "the Middle Class" and the culture shock that comes with change of that nature, old traditions collide with new dynamics.

I was surprised to see that a riot had stopped work and closed nearly everything as people took to the streets. Some to return to their homes, others to smash and burn in an expression of their emotions.

The cause...
A celebrity had died.

In a country steeped in religion and traditional rule, critical thinking is a new upstart phenomenon that will take some time before the unreasoned ways begin to fade away. Hopefully some of the great parts of that culture will remain intact.

As for canoodling in the local park, there is something about two love birds on a park bench that warms the cockles while a George Michael park bathroom soiree is just a little too edgy.

Yes, those wonderful people who burn widows are against canoodeling or whatever.

Makes one glad to be a WASP Canuck. All we have to do is work like hell and pay taxes.

Yay us.
