A burglary suspect chased away from the the scene of the crime was nabbed by cops - after he fell down a 30ft deep well.
The hilarious incident occurred this morning and the 21 year old man had to call the emergency services himself after falling down the 5ft wide hole in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
The bizarre scenes unfolded at 5.20am and saw emergency crews spend two- and-a-half hours trying to rescue the man.
Inspector David Whitehouse of West Yorkshire Police said: "It seems that the gentleman who fell down the well was one of the burglars who was fleeing the scene."

Fall ... suspect tumbled down a well
A BURGLARY suspect chased away from the scene of a break-in was caught by police - after he fell down a 30ft well.
The 21-year-old from Halifax, West Yorks, had to call the emergency services himself after tumbling down the 5ft-wide hole this morning.
Minutes earlier police had been called to reports of a break-in at a house in nearby Bell Street, where locals were chasing the suspects.
The bizarre scenes unfolded at 5.20am and saw emergency crews spend two- and-a-half hours trying to rescue the man.
Inspector David Whitehouse of West Yorkshire Police said: "It seems that the gentleman who fell down the well was one of the burglars who was fleeing the scene.
"He was chased by a neighbour, climbed a small wall, dropped down a banking approximately 20ft before then falling down a 30ft-deep well.
"It would appear it was uncovered and hidden from view to the fleeing suspect."
The well in Claremount Road, Boothtown, is next to a graveyard and fire and ambulance crews had to be called there to save him.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary when he was freed, and then taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary complaining of back pain.
After being seen by doctors he will be held there overnight for further observations.
Insp Whitehouse said: "He has a fractured lower vertebra.
"Although it sounds serious it's not going to be something that would impair his future health and is going to be treatable."
