Why Are French Women Killing Their Babies?
The question is as horrifying as it is important to ask: Why are a rising number of French women killing their newborn babies? Finding the answer has become a matter of urgency following the discovery on Wednesday of eight infants allegedly smothered to death and buried by their mother in northern France. And with that case marking at least the fifth instance of multiple infanticide reported in France since 2003, it has become vital for the nation to confront the phenomenon that appears to be behind it all: a mental condition known as pregnancy denial.

Now this is totally bazaar.
Five incidences in the span of 7 years out of a population of 62,277,432?
Where here in Canada, with a population of 33,311,400, there have been probably just as many cases, perhaps more in the same span of time..... but the thing is, you can't really find many reported cases of
infanticide in Canada, since most courts have recently moved towards 1st and 2nd degree murder charges rather then infanticide, due to the methodical planning, covering up and continued lying to law enforcement that tends to revolve around such incidences.... it's more then just some mental disturbance with these mothers who kill their newborns..... and here in Canada, infanticide should be removed from law so it can't be used as some means of defence and thus get a lighter sentence for what is indeed... murder.
But imo, 5 incidences in 7 years in a country with almost double our own population, doesn't seem like a serious concern that everybody needs to drop everything they're doing to address it.
This sort of thing has existed forever and no matter how much help one can get, no matter how many laws one enforces.... it will continue to happen.
Why?
Because as unfortunate as it may be..... the world is full of lunatics and this situation of infanticide has only been glorified by this most recent case described above.
