The Canada Honours — the induction awards for Canada’s Walk Of Fame — announced the return Thursday of its Canada-wide nominations contest, the first step in the process of choosing this year’s inductees.
Canadians are invited to recommend potential nominees in film, television, music, sports, visual and performing arts, literature, science and innovation.
Five participants in the contest will be chosen to receive an expenses-paid trip to Toronto for the Canada Honours weekend celebration, Oct. 14-17.
Nominees must have a minimum of 10 years in their fields, been born in Canada or “have spent their formative years” in Canada, and have had a “national or international impact on Canada’s heritage.”
Deadline for the contest is April 30. Contest details are available at canadaswalkoffame.com.
