Yes. The Ol' Oil Game..An age ol' game played by the slimiest of the slimey.The most corrupt and Shady cheats in the Business world.
Let's just hope The Harper Gov. has the Energy and Security to back such a Reckless Risk/To Take such a Greedy Gamble with Canada and its Peoples future.

There is no future in Dirty oil.

Harper will not always be P.M. but Canadians/Americans will have to live with the Consequences/Fall Out, from this Govs.Direction/Decision, 4 years and decades to come.

The choice has been made, the riskiest of risky gambles taken..The Con/Rep.Harper Gov. has decided to play the dirty oil game. A game we may all pay for.

Now as long as this doesn't cause a major catatrophe like it did in the movie "Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York" this could be a fantistic source of energy to tap.

Geothermal energy developers plan to pump 24 million gallons of water into the side of a dormant volcano in Central Oregon this summer to demonstrate new technology they hope will give a boost to a green energy sector that has yet to live up to its promise.
They hope the water comes back to the surface fast enough and hot enough to create cheap, clean electricity that isn't dependent on sunny skies or stiff breezes — without shaking the earth and rattling the nerves of nearby residents.
Renewable energy has been held back by cheap natural gas, weak demand for power and waning political concern over global warming. Efforts to use the earth's heat to generate power, known as geothermal energy, have been further hampered by technical problems and worries that tapping it can cause earthquakes.

Such important decisions , such as rushing the oil rush, and flood the globe with our " Ethical " Canadian Crude take time...and should not be made in haste..Decisions that will affect Canadians/Will have effects on Canada for years/Decades/Generations to come take time to workout..They should not ne rushed through recklessly..
There's still lots of Oil and Alternative energies to work a sustainable energy plan/future around...

I can hear the brass band playing and the choir singing kumbaya. If we were to go to this
at present I can see the following.

The long unemployment lines

the food banks without adequate food supplies as horses replaced tractors and half the fields
for food now feed horses

I see people piss*d because they are waiting in lines for transportation because there is no
fuel for vehicles the bought.

I see the economy is a shambles as we know it because despite the people who have some new
environmental religious ideal, they are not prepared to change to the level this dream dictates.

The problem is environmentalism that once made sense is now a religion with its own brand of
zealots who would be worse than any dictatorship ever devised.

I am not against science and innovation, I am not against hi tech industry, and I am not against a
dream. but if we were to go to this level, it would become a nightmare for many.

Utopia is not on the agenda and everyone who has strived for some kind of idealistic utopia has
gone off the rails when put into practice. Oliver Cromwell in Britain, Jim Jones, you know the
Prince of Kool Aid.

We will advance to a new level in time but reality tells me that we will not go anywhere near this
dream there is no money in it for investors.

-- - Nebraskas ogallala aquifer - To think ; if decisions on the XL pipeline were left soley up to oil companies and Con/Rep.Politicians, there would be a pipe line running straight through a vital Nebraskan water shed/Natural Artery...Thanks to concerned citizens and environmental regulations; further deterioration of this, 1 of many , vital, sensitive resources, has been diverted and protected ..For now..

So what have Oil companies contributed to the American Economic/Ecological landscape lately?
What does the future of oil look like?

It looks like alternative energies will become a large part of this planet; whether Coal/Oil/Nuclear interests like it or not.

There is no sustainable future in coal/oil.....Perhaps more so in nuclear power if those involved can ensure greater safety and reuse of nuclear waste...
