A new nationwide study of anonymised credit-card receipts from a major online adult entertainment provider finds little variation in consumption between states…
However, there are some trends to be seen in the data. Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds.

I believe SirJoe pointed this out a while back, and used Utah
specifically in his example as very conservative & big into the
porn. It's third hand by the time I'm relating this though, but

I don't think its really the same people. Its my theory that whenever you attempt to censor something, some people who otherwise wouldn't look for it decide to look for it out of idle curiosity.

I suppose its not really my theory, since "There is no bad publicity," is an ancient maxim, as far as I know.
